George Mason Students Come Out for Carrying Concealed Handguns

A debate between a couple of students on a local TV show can be seen here. Andrew Dysart was the student from GMU who supported students being able to carry concealed handguns. The main answer that I would have given to the question about what might happen with students carrying concealed handguns is that where has there been a problem with people over age 21 who behave improperly with concealed handguns.

Thanks for pointing me toward that video. I check out some more of their videos and I love that Andrew Dysart didn’t come off as some “gun nut.” Upon watching some more of their videos I saw that John Rosenthal was talking about arming teenagers. Andrew countered by saying that one has to be 21, pass a background check, and pass the 4 hour training. Didn’t matter though because Rosenthal continued to talk about teenagers.

I agree that overall Andrew Dysart did a good job. I wish that I could have had a few minutes to talk to him before his interview, but I suppose that we all would do things differently.
