He forgot that he voted twice the same day in two different places

You note that they didn't list his party affiliation, but a little googling would have cleared that up for you.

A few excerpts from how he responded to the West Allis Police detective's questions on political leanings:

Generally: "I tend to be more Republican for the most part" (adding later that he didn't vote a straight ticket).

The Green/Doyle governor's race: "I voted for Rep. Green on that."

The state Senate race between incumbent Tom Reynolds, a Republican, and then-Wauwatosa Ald. Jim Sullivan, a Democrat (Sullivan won): "I had voted for, um, Tom Reynolds in the area."


And so on.
