Will racism hurt Obama's chance of election?
There are numerous people saying that there are many people who would vote for Obama if it wasn't for his race. Andrew Breitbart sent me this poll that pushes this view.
If this claim is true, what does this say about who is racist? Presumably this means that it is racist Democrats or liberals who can't bring themselves to vote for Obama. It can't be conservatives because presumably they wouldn't vote for Obama in any case no matter what Obama's race.
Indeed, amusingly enough I just happened to find an earlier version of this AP story on Andrew's website entitled: "Racial views steer some white Dems away from Obama." For whatever it is worth, the later story had a much more innocuous heading: "Poll: Racial misgivings of whites an Obama issue" or "Methods behind AP-Yahoo News poll on racial views."
The result: Obama would receive an estimated 6 percentage points more support if there were no racial prejudice.

We see the groundwork of the foundation being laid for the next excuse for a democratic loss in the bid for the white house. Apparently, when you are on the left, the idea that people just reject your ideology and ideas is unacceptable as a reason for losing an election. This is part and parcel of their image of moral and ideological superiority.
In 2000, it was that the election was stolen from them. In 2004, it was that they just didn't do a good enough job educating people.
In 2008, it will be racism.
With all the race baiters and flame fanners on the left, I fear that there might be an outbreak of racial violence if Obama is not elected. The dems would spin it as the republicans reaping what they have sowed.
Disgusting.
I have to wonder if this is also a way to intimidate or shame people into to voting for Obama. For some reason they don't want to believe that people won't vote for Obama because they believe differently than he does and race doesn't have anything to do with it. May be they should have asked a simple question like:
Who would you vote for for president if these were the choices:
A) Barack Obama
B) Colin Powell
C) Condoleeza Rice
D)Thomas Sowell
E) Alan Keys
F) None of the above
Personally, I would vote for Thomas Sowell over any candidate that is in the race now
